OK lets think about this... No battery yet the fuel pump stays on. First look at the wiring diagram. It looks like the fuel pump gets fed from relay CMI12 and then is grounded out at location 31/47 underneath the rear left passenger seat. I would start with the harness and see where your live 12V is coming from then trace back.

Is it possible the negative battery lead is making contact to ground some other way perhaps through the bracket or some tool maybe that you store back there?

Okay I just want to say first off I don't like how this site has been redone. It's very confusing after I post an answer and does not redirect to the new thread with the new answer!
Anyway know the battery negative terminal is not touching anything! I'm done for tonight and I will look at the power feeds tomorrow with my meter. Thank you so much anyone who helps!

@abscate was correct.

Once you d/c the ground cable, the entire car electrical system is off.
Basic Physics 101.

My guess is: when people d/c the ground cable and if it is not tucked away, it has a tendency to come back to the battery terminal and reconnects itself (loosely).

Do the cables and marks (+/-) on the battery terminal correspond? If yes, then there is a ground problem somewhere -- follow the cable.

What happens if key is at Position II after the negative cable is removed?

ELSE, Nebraska air is charged, LoL!

I forgot about the fuse\relay panel under drivers side dash. Bad fuel pump relay. It was burned around the edges. Then took fuel sender side out and changed the two electrical plug-ins that look exactly the same. I must have put those in wrong that's the only explanation I can think of. New fuel relay and now everything is fine. Thanks for the input. Good example to make sure all electrical plugs go in same place. I didnt take a pic.

Ask yourself: What other possible energy source could there be.
Batteries store electrical energy. Subwoofer capacitors store electrical energy. Solar battery maintainers are a energy source.

If there is no other conventional energy source you got a trillion dollar discovery. Forget the car, figure out where the energy is coming from.

Perhaps you accidentally created a Dark energy converter, which would have more potential than a sustainable fission reactor. :wink:
