It's tempting to buy and rehabilitate back to stage 0 baseline performance. I'm doing that with my new-to-me 200k mi 2000 V70 with its unexciting non-turbo, automatic, and some body damage. A turbo stick shift seems more worthwhile, but this red one needs more work.

If it were a 2000 V70R in an interesting color, I'd be tempted no matter how much work it needed. Still kicking myself for passing on that laser blue one in Florida on eBay earlier this year. I feel compelled to save these sturdy old cars, especially the exciting turbos and manuals.

Interesting they use the manual conversion parts pitch; it would be an Abscate Rescue candidate on the East Coast.
Too little rust for abscate, no real challenge for Doctor P80
