For anyone who is interested, the copper crush washer needed for installing a new ECT sensor has a P/N of 11994 and can be purchased from a Volvo dealer for the pre-inflation price of $1.67 each.

I think that’s the same part number for the oil, coolant, and vacuum banjo bolt copper washers.

Just had the wild coolant temp swing to hot at startup this morning. Went back to cold after a short while during idle.
Interestingly the temp gauge did go to the middle after a bit of driving so not sure if it is an intermittent failure of the coolant temp sensor.

Here is my question. Is Volvo parts warranty one year? Back in December I had my local indy shop do the thermostat as part of the PCV job. Pretty sure they used a Volvo thermostat and coolant temp sensor.
