I paid up for professional refinishing with clear coat on my wheels and feel it was worth the $600 I paid for the set. It's close to OEM quality and tough as nails. All wheels run perfectly true and air leakage is zero.
I'm kind of glad I didn't know there right/left versions of Columba wheels when I bought mine, since I too would have felt that I had to have them.

That is the challenge I find. Usually when you get used rims here the 2 issues are:
1) Are they true and straight. This is hard to check without a wheel spinner.
2) Most rims will have blemishes or peeling paint and oxidisation and scratches.
The sellers want way to much for these rims as they only way they end up on my cars is to have them re-finished by either a wheel specialist or powder coating company. That adds $4-600/set of 4 wheels. I usually get a local shop to spin the rims without tires on them for me to check they are straight.
I also have no qualms returning the rims if any are bent for a refund. You can often get a refinished set for cheaper or even new copies for the same or less.
Neil.

Ssshh. Most owners of Columba’s don’t know there are front and back as well as left and right and we don’t want to fuel their OCD, just make fun of their pictures.

Neither. It might be a joke aimed at my fixation on left/right Columba wheels. Suggesting that there are different front/rear versions might make me want them. Thankfully they don't exist.
But there was the option of factory dark grey Columba wheels when I got mine. Probably not in left/right mirrored or I might have gotten them.
Sorry I totally hijacked this thread. Yes, get your wheels professional powder coated. $600 for all four sounds like a great price.

Are you sure you have the front Columbas and the rear Columbas matched? They were right last time we met, but did you label them and keep them straight?Neither. It might be a joke aimed at my fixation on left/right Columba wheels
Shirley, I couldn’t joke about something as serious as matching wheels; that could take a bad turn for the worst.
