Ok guys. I read the posts on the 960 throttle plate for the 850 n/a.
I did the job. It was incredibly easy. the unit will not work, you need to use only the plate.
unscrew the plate, (2) t10? screws with some stuff that needs to get scraped out of them.
Open up the throttle body and remove the plate through the back side.
do the same for the n/a T.B. and reinstall the 960 plate after cleaning it up.
make sure it is in there perfectly or the plate will make the gas petal sticky.
make sure your gasket is undamaged. I ended up taking the one off the 960 body and putting on mine and using it.
(That tiny paper gasket is not very durable or easy to fillet off. )
The gas mileage has not increased or decreased in my ride.
I have been using it for 3 weeks now. 2 gas tank fill ups.
I still get 20 mpg.
I need to clean my injectors and get a new fuel pump.
The acceleration is noticeably increased. I was happy I did the work.
the 960 throttle body will not work without modification. there are 2 vacuum hose nipples off the bottom and the throttle sensor is 90 deg. off (farther than what the cable will reach.)
putting a 960 TB on a N/A 850...
