Dropped the heater core for replacement. Was original Volvo / Behr from late 1997

Firmed up, not final torque to front end bolts
Installed snow tires, and dropped her back onto her feet, and took her for a test drive!

All well.

That is awesome news after all the work you have done on GrunHilde. Hopefully she will respond with a lot of good service for whoever the lucky person is who gets her.

Have you any more things you still have to do to complete this project?

Got an eBay alternator and dropped it in. New serp belt,viciously tight. It ran very well with no tensioner. Could not install belt with tensioner , even after running for ten minutes.

Struggled to put tensioner back on with belt on, finally did using bottom bolt first on tensioner trick

Wisechatmgr figured this all out, he was on A game yesterday

Fuel leak stopped

Found a 2015 heater core in parts, will use that

Lost heater core bolt, torxt25 m5 x 15 mm. 986200

Have spare

We had a room at the plaza that was painted Xerox red... It had to be repainted because apparently somehow subconsciously it causes people to fight.

It became an ugly green instead.

That belt was tighter than any belt I've dealt with before. I don't think the tensioner even did a full 1mm of movement when I removed the pin. I swear they made it a half inch or so short. At least it sparkles =P

ANd we are done under the hood!!!

Got a 2016 Heater core from stash - replaced, removed 5/8 bypass - silcone grease on o-rings, leak tested with water, then hooked up coolant.

No leaks - great heat in car.
