Looks like most if not all the scratches are in the clear coat. Clear coat can be sanded with 600+ wet and dry. Then a new clear coat applied.

All fine as long as workmanship is to standard.
Steel line splice is fine. I thought we were talking about spicing rubber flex brake hose.

Today I checked out my new customized exterior of 2001 V70. Random dimples on the top surface provided by hail storm. No broken parts found and no damage to driving performance.
