And when you say " off the shelf ", do you mean it's a pre-formed heater hose ?

He's saying he used the pre-formed hoses sold by Volvo for that part of the PCV, e.g. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... -1271654-1 etc. And definitely not heater hose!

According to SimplePart, both 1271654 and 9146757 fit. The upper picture looks like 9146757, which is what I bought 2 years ago for my 1996 after going to Volvo Parts Webstore and entering my car info. I thought the original 1271654(probably) seemed like a better fit, going through the other opening in the intake manifold.

Yes, even though some of the IMs have something in the way there (can't remember what) which is why Volvo made different hoses, both will work.

Well, perhaps. The '97 GLT has the FPR down low behind the engine. My '97 T5 has it up top.

Even with the '01 LPT RN swap in her car, we used the accessories and intake/rail/etc from her '97 engine.

I am thinking of installing an elbow / 90 degree bend in the main pipe, similar to what you showed in the photos of your installations. Would you be able to tell me what type of fitting you used, where you got it, and how you installed it please? Thanks.

It's just a 5/8" 90* plastic barbed fitting. Similar to THIS but shorter legs. (You could also cut that one down). I just cut a short length of hose, long enough to join it too the separator but not have it be too tall (thus mentioning cutting down the legs on the fitting) and just crimping it all together with the Oeticker clamps.

Got an update on longevity of this trick? Lots of people online saying the oil would break down the heater hose, but could just be fear mongering I'm not sure.
Also thoughts on 5/8 fuel line instead?
