Put these crappy hose clamps on my list to get rid of at next coolant change.

These are cheap, but look how they cut those beautiful OEM hoses

Just order a ton of ABA clamps from eEuroparts. WAY better than those cheapo clamps. Plus they don't strip out and start skipping.

Ive recently found PEX clamps for plumbing are perfect 19mm Oetinger clamps - at about 15 cents a pop in contractor pack. With four house projects underway, I can always find them lying around, too.

If you put three on each hose, and tighten the outer ones, you don't have to either hunt for, nor remove the hose, to install a spare; the culmination of advance planning, personified.

Yeah... lol. I was going to change them eventually, but someone here pointed out the gap. Changed them the next day. Lol

Solved the bad smelling brakes after full braking application....by replacing the smoked rotors and pads.

(Mostly) finished up the XC front end swap on my '97 T5.

Have a few small things to address, but it's all in place and the car is mobile again.

Yesterday I also installed a used ETM with a 2006 date code, so it’s not as old as what I was running. Hopefully this will last me a while until I pull the trigger on a Xemodex. Then tomorrow I’m going to try to finally find this boost leak. It’s loud as hell while driving, I can’t believe I still haven’t been able to find it yet.

I didn't know there was a date code on the ETM. My 99' has a yellow label one, I have to check the date on that.

Yeah, the yellow label ETMs are the newer ones that I believe are supposed to be improved. If you look at the second line down on the left just above the Magneti Marelli logo, it'll have two numbers and a "W", then two more numbers. That's the year and week. So for example, 99W46 would be 46th week of 1999.
