Unfortunately, not even Volvos are impervious to corrosion!

Good luck with the connectors. If you can find a good connector in a junkyard, maybe worth cutting and splicing them in?

I was thinking of just soldering some new bullett (SP?) connectors on there.

I gave up the soldering idea and did some splicing. That solved half the problem. The low level fan is now kicking in with the air conditioning on but the high speed on the radiator fan is not.

So either the replacement (used) relay is bad or the spice didn’t work on the high speed.

In the meantime, I guess I always have the air on while driving because that solved the overheat problem— at least sitting in the driveway. May not be able to handle the load in city traffic…

Well take the wins when they come, especially with PITA issues like this. 50% fix is better than none!

Have you tried just a simple continuity test on the cable length for the high speed?

I have— high and low work so it’s the wiring in the signal relay. Used a “Swedish” parts place out of Knoxville. Review coming on that joker. Sent me a part more corroded than what I had in there. But he was referred. So fool me once…
