2016 Volvo XC90 T6 here with exact same issue.
Heater doesn’t work when overheating occurs but after idling 15-30 sec everything back to normal.
Everything sounds like blown head gasket but coolant pipes still soft and it comes back to normal after idling.
Anybody found solution ?
