Well, after a few days, I really haven't seen a very big improvement after the seafoam treatment. i have noticed a little smother idle and a slightly smoother acceleration. Other than that everything still seems like it was before. I drove it for a good 3-4 hours yesterday, and this car sure doesn't have the same response as it used to...

Hi mrreilly,

I'm a bit confused on your post. Are you saying that for a few days it seemed about the same and then yesterday something changed and the response ( acceleration ? ) is less ?

Thanks in advance for clarification.

Seems like it could be a way of cleaning out the oil seperator ( under the intake manifold ) and lines periodically.
Still curious on any members thoughts on this or if they have tried it. Instead of introducing the seafoam at the vacuum tree it is applied to one of the hoses running into the oil seperator? Or does entering at the vacuum tree cause the material to run through the seperator all the same?

I tried Seafoam today. I put in about 3-4 ounces through the vacuum tree and waited about 20 minutes. When I first started it back up it smoked sa pretty good bit and then as it sat there at idle, it quit. Then I took it for a short(about 15 minute) drive. For a little while each time I got on it, it would smoke pretty badly. Then it quit smoking and ran smooth and seemed to have a little more power.
The CEL came on almost immediately after I restarted it. I haven't checked it yet to see what kind of code I have.

Probably an 02 sensor from all the smoke. Clear it and you should be good to go! Let us know how the long-term effects of this are. So far, my conclusion is that any improvements are short lived, but hey, what do I know.

I need to get with you (MIJ) and return your relay. Give me a call and let me know when you are free on a Sunday.

Would anyone know where i could buy Seafoam online that delivers to Europe? (Ireland)

I've been looking all over the net and cant find anywhere that will post outside the US.
Kind regards,

I'm surprised if they'll post at all, even within the US. Even nail polish remover is a controlled substance now.

That said, pick a major vendor and give them a call. They may want you to buy a few bottles to offset the cost of int'l hazmat shipping.
