Update on the update.

I forgot I butchered the wiring on this door doing something , or maybe it overheated ?

The replacement switch doctor switch started working again so I suspect the part is fine and the wiring faulted

It did stop operating the other three windows , until I remembered to throw the switch. Isn’t there a user manual for this on PDP11 format?

Geronimo is missing a switch in its front driver's four switch bank. Is it reasonably possible to swap the plastic switch from another unit into this one? Of course, I'll confirm that all of the switches work in all positions.

I don’t think they pop out too easily. I took one apart once and it got ugly. I do have a Volvo switch that failed only on driver door function if you want to play with parts for fun

I know some have opened these up and cleaned the contacts to try to get them working again. Some have been successful, but there are a lot of small springs in there.........!

I did that opening up, careful cleaning on Elizabeth in 2008 , and got it working again

A week later, Dr Mrs Abscate,took exception to the smoke and flames coming out of it,

My new Switch Doctor one is still working
