I have a 1999 Volvo S70...the passenger window control stopped working then the driver's master circuit quit to where the windows and sunroof didn't work but the locking mechanism did. I purchased a new master control circuit so the windows work fine now but the locks are messed up?!
Any input or ideas would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Cindy Lou

Welcome CindyLou!
The 1999 cars used a new protocol of locking security and there is a procedure to get it to reset. I'm guessing when you replaced the switch voltage to the master lock assembly in the driver door was interrupted. I think the protocol is something like locking/unlocking the door four times fairly quickly

If the driver's new master switch has a faulty mechanism for the locks and is closing the locks permanently it will disable the rest of the locks as well. I know this because I purchased one of those $28 master switches which lasted about 150 cycles (I have no remote so I use the door switch to lock instead of the key)
If you press the lock button toward the unlock position do the locks then begin to work by using the remote or the passenger side lock button?
If the master lock button has failed like mine and leans toward the lock position when the car is scanned with Vida it shows as a fault.
