Rubber Dust Shield between the axle shaft and hub bearing?

It is possible if the seal does not get seated properly or the old seal breaks up when re-fitting and blocks the abs sensor reading correctly. The sensor reads the grooves in the toothed wheel. If a piece gets in there or there is a build up of crud gets dislodged into the 'teeth' it will throw a wobbly.

I would fit new seals and carefully make sure all the rust is cleared out of the teeth with wire brushing before fitting the new seals.
