Serpentine/accessory belt, in case nobody mentioned that.
Real maps, in addition to whatever newfangled phone/"gps" device you may have.

Starter list....
...
full size spare tire as well as the donut , forget the fix a flat, it just ruins your rims and does absolutely no good for a blow out!
bottle of windshield washer fluid.
a flashlight with spare batteries and bulb
a good blanket and pillow for those unexpected rest stops
Comfort items.... I prefer Mountain Dew and Strawberry Twizzlers lol
Above X2 AND:
what BEJinFbk said X2 (except the fix a flat, see above) AND:
Oil pan and duct tape. I know, bigkev414 beat me to the duct tape but I thought it before I read it! Seriously though, yes it is paved but if you are anything like me, especially with the AWD, the unpaved roads call my name and they are not all in great shape. For me, the worse the better, right up until the oil pan is cracked.
See the Winter Survival Kit / Checklist (yes winter, I have seen measurable snow in June and July in Montana)
Or this Coffee Can Kit
AAA

Be careful with the gorilla wrench. I did this to my V70XC with the very same wrench. Hint: a bunch of reviews said this would happen :-(

A handheld GPS or Geocache Navigator on a smartphone for Geocaching. No matter where you are in the world, if you know how to geocache, you will always have something to do. It is a fun family friendly activity and I bet there are some fantastic caches along the way.

My whole family can ID Polaris and knows why that is important. Have fun in Outter Mongolia :P Some stretches and the fun off roading may have you feeling like this is where you are. If you are passing through Billings Montana and need assistance or a break, I would be glad to meet you and your Volvo, oh and your wife too!

If your going to bring the aforementioned supplies I would include an accessory belt (multi-V) and the homemade tool for releasing the tension. Please check out Robert DIY on Youtube for specifics on making the tool. I also would bring a full size spare tire instead of the temporary spare tire. I ran over a piece of angle iron on the highway and it ruined both the tire and the wheel. I still had 200 miles to go to my destination. It was not fun running on the temporary tire as the slowest vehicle on the interstates until I could procure a wheel and tire.

Winter coat and winter shoes for cold climates.
Tow rope to pull people out of slush, awarding good karma points
Folding shovel in case you get slushed. XC and AWD guys can sneer at us FWD guys for this
You need wheel chocks and wood to safely jack with the car jack.

I agree with rspi. Pack fun stuff.
But be prepared as best you can. a Good Paper map. cell service can be spotty. Tire plugger, flats are common.
check the age of your battery, should be a sticker on the top or side. how old is the Alt? maybe a new VR/brush assy.

How are these broken lugs somehow the fault of the gorilla wrench and not the gorilla wrencher???

What’s the problem ? They all came off and you’ve got one to get home on.

You could even zip tie the one bolt to the rotor retainer for safety
