Detaching air pump from its bracket gave plenty of room for the radiator to slide down, easy. Thanks J.

I found the bolts, nuts, and clamps in the proximity of where hoses leak happens most were the hardest, worn, broke, few I sawed out.

I would pressure wash it clean, and make a speaker of it in youthful days, hang it in the college dorm. Yonder Mountain String Band would sound just right.

Preparing to put it all back together. Replacing most bolts, all three of the special type for the air pump. All Volvo OE parts, one starts to appreciate folks in Volvo parts for their support.

The T40 on thermostat is still not co-operating. For a strong grip, I may stop at the local iron-smith to bend the foot long T40 Craftsman screwdriver to a 90º, make it like allen shaped tool for better grip and turn.

The cuts are supposedly normal to allow for expansion, though they should not ever go through the actual tubes. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.ph ... or-defect/
The mashed fins are not normal, was it packed bad?

The corrogated box was not damaged, fresh and clean.
I called Volvo parts, they sent a replacement, it also has cuts. The meshed fins are much better on replacement.
These cut are not machined since the quality and depth of cuts are abrasive and sharp. Unskilled. It cuts into the first row of meshed fins, leaving it smooshed and uneven. Just poor, a substandard equipment for an extremly critical function, maybe.

I would proceed with installing with MVS support.
