Ok, thx. It is fun to drive, only on the highway there could be more power - I guess the auto box and the tall gears are eating some of it.
On the suspension side I added the ipd subframe poly inserts - that helped some but didn't fix the ride, also a oem strut brace which helped a lot more than I hoped.
IPD Sway bars are also waiting to be installed. Need to fix some paint and so on, parking break is also on my todo... Heat shield is rattling...
Still a lot to do

Did the strut brace help a lot? Do you know if there was an OEM strut brace for the S70s?

I think the 850 and s70 versions should be the same... Got a pic here:
If I remember correctly it said it was for 850 and s/v70 gen1. Edit: I got this one here: http://www.europeantuningshop.nl/index. ... ct_id=5265
And yes, for me It helped quite a bit. Under breaking the car used to wander about, this helped a lot with it (installed it before the subframe inserts).
Honestly I would have expected more from the poly inserts, but I guess It only helps so much. Btw, a tip for installation: the supplied grease is ok, but it helps a lot to spray the bushings with silicone spray first, then they slide in a lot easier.
btw, I made an album with all sorts of pics I took, if you are interested you can look through them here

Are you referring to the 4 subframe locations where you insert the ipd bushing?
I am surprised the S70 T5 has the same suspension as the stock S70; thats not very sporty. I'm not sure why but my 850 handles better and my S70 has new front Bilsteins, I need to start investigating

Yes, sorry if that wasn't clearmecheng wrote:Are you referring to the 4 subframe locations where you insert the ipd bushing?
I'm no expert, but as far as I know the R models are lowered (different springs/shocks I guess) and have stronger swaybars. but the rest is the same as far as I can tell, I replaced a lot of suspension parts on both my 850 T5-R and my s70...mecheng wrote: I am surprised the S70 T5 has the same suspension as the stock S70; thats not very sporty. There was a thread recently on the differences between s70 and 850's.
If your 850 handles better then you probably need to overhaul your suspension.

I was skepitcal of the subframe mounts improving handling, it appers to be a valid concern.
I think I may need a bigger sway bar or upgrade the sway bar bushings

Just when you think it is going good...
Drove home from the required yearly inspection (which the car passed) - floored it on the highway in S mode, there was a short whining noise and then no boost above 0,5bar...
Now it won't go over 0.5 bar any more (which is about 7,2 psi). *sigh*

possible. Guess I will try to read the codes.
I read your thread; they did also try to fix my rattling heat shield, hope they didn't mess up the oxygen sensor in the process... might be totally unrelated, but ...
