Ok I will check further, but I like your point, these cars are not perfect especially when it comes to possibilities for oil leaks they are near endless. Some things you just have to let go and "let it ride"

When replacing the radiator I replace all of the o-rings, but do not drain oil or tranny.

The o-rings will not come with the new rad? What about the clips that hold the cooler lines, do you re-use those or get new?

Do you know which cooler is on the driver side?

Thanks!

No o-rings with the rad, no matter what brand you buy.

I always re-use the clips, just cinch them down with a zip tie after they go on.

Driver's side has the trans cooler, passenger's side has the oil cooler.

Here is a good, recent discussion of Nissens vs OEM Valeo

The previous owner replaced the PCV valve system and the current one has 70,000km on it. I checked for smoke out of the dipstick and pressure out of the oil filler cap and it seemed fine.

I changed the oil filler cap gasket but I still get oil on top of the valve cover. Is that from the PCV valve hose clamp? Should I remove the clamp and put a new screw style clamp? And if I do should I spray some carb cleaner/MAP cleaner in the hose?

Or does the PCV valve system need replacement again?

I wonder why the cooler is wet on the outside, but the trans fluid level is consistent. I wonder if it has a leak and from where.

UPDATE: E-Test was successful. I ran two readiness tests, the first one I'm not sure the temp was right, I followed instructions from one site that said for temp to be below first line which is incorrect, you need to measure the coolant temp directly 29C to 49C. Which is probably why the 02 Sensor and EVAP was not "ready" but apparantly you are allowed a certain number of not ready indicators!

So will its not conculsive that I fixed all the codes, so far so good and I didn't change the O2 sensor. I cleaned the purge valve and ALL the vacuum lines and did a tune up. Hopefully the O2 sensor stays okay, it is pretty much welded into the bung. So before you change parts, do your research!

After the test, I decided to clean the PTC Valve, I sprayed it throughly with carb cleaner and the lines going to it while it was still connected to the intake (but I removed the lines) I did the glove PCV valve test and there were no issues. I'm guesssing I get a bit of oil on the top of the engine because the hose clamp is bad? Do the Oetiker clamps fail? Should I replace with a screw clamp. (note: oil filler gasket was changed)

I noticed an electrical connected on the front passenger side of the engine bay: the insulation on the wiring was crumbling, I removed it and taped it. Does anybody know what this connector is for?
no insulation on wires!

I accidently lost 1 of the 4 nipples that is used on the Idle Air Control valve, when I was cleaning the ports.... Oooops! I was so mad, hopefully the dealer sells it.
lost the nipple! like a baby w/o a nipple I was sad!

As I mentioned, above the trans cooler is wet on the outside but the trans fluid doesn't appear to have water in it but the rad fluid has some oil in it. I wonder why the trans fluid is not ingesting in any of the rad fluid?

- I don't recognize the connector offhand, would have to look at a vehicle and follow the wire back.

- For the nipple, just go to any auto parts store, that needn't come from the dealer.

- The trans cooler is a completely separate little tube down that side of the radiator, as is the oil cooler. So fluids in the trans cooler passage will not intermix with those in the rad (coolant) passages unless there is an additional failure.
