Worth a try before spending more money! Might also be worth considering running a can of Seafoam through the fuel system. If I am doing a long trip in any of my cars I usually do this, even though all my cars are well serviced. We do a lot of short runs and city driving so I don't believe it can do any harm, even though we use Premium (91 octane) gas. Even though your tank was fairly empty when bought it could have had moisture/condensation in the tank from sitting.

Just a quick update. started the car to move it out of the garage and got code P0305. Previously I got code P0302 and I swapped the coil from 2 with 5 and the code followed. As a test, I disconnected the coil while the car was running and it did not change the the way the car ran! Hopefully I have narrowed it down to a bad coil (fingers crossed)

I am picking up another coil today. will post the outcome later today.

Success!!! It was the same coil that cause p0302 and p0305 when I moved it to cylinder 5. Replaced it with a used one and its working fine now! Its funny how I was able to run the car for minutes and no codes would show up which is why this one took a long time to figure out.

Just have to get the exhaust on and it should be set for safety and emission test!

Thanks for all the help!
