Just got a 2000 V70XCSE

I just purchased a 2000 V70XCse with 160k on odo, functional AWD and super clean in/out.
My 98 v70xc blew a HG after a bad hose leak while driving and the level sensor failure to set off dash light for low coolant.

And in the superior Baltic Blue, I see...

My '98 V70xc was same exact color in and out, 3 differences. The wood grain on the 2000 is flawless, the 2000 has the wood grain on the shifter knob and on the steering wheel, there's a nice pocket area under the glove box and there's third row seating.

I retrofit that pocket under the glove box in mine, have 2/3 wood grain trim pieces installed, and I'd like a wood grain shift knob. There are two at the junkyard, haven't grabbed them because one has a broken button and I can't seem to remove the other one.

We get the cool under glovebox tray in the 1999 model...it's where we store our 99 coolness

It was a very easy job to install it in my '98. Just had to remove that awful knee bolster and its bracket.

Still looking for the console piece. One car at the pull a part had a decent one, but the screw mounts were mostly broken. I don't want one that's all scratched up, peeled, or straight up doesn't match. I don't want to have to go to eBay and pay $50 for it either.

Did you check the oil in the junk yard car ? If it looks clean you can drain and use for your next oil change. Charge the junkyard back for waste disposal

I prefer to mix the oil with standing stagnant water found nearby while in the yard.

Taking note of how quick the oil and water separate and how well it segregates themselves informs me of many helpful tidbits of information.

Things like the quality of the oils condition, knowing viscosity is important!
Purity of the water, for how drinkable the water is (thirsty after a long visit to the yard)

All while giving the satisfaction to knowing I'm doing my part for the environment by applying the three "R's"... Reuse, Reduce & Recycle!
