Re: 05' V70 cat question

I just wanted to update this thread and report on the aftermarket CAT install in case someone else is looking for an alternative.

When I ordered the cat from FCP I was initially confused because they have 2 of them listed with no noticeable difference other than one was around $20 dollars cheaper than the other. So I called them and even FCP couldn't tell me what the difference was. I ended up ordering the cheaper one and it fit fine.

The car is running great with the DEC cat installed for about 2 weeks now. No CEL so far. My mechanic says that the overall quality looked very good and he had no problems installing it.

Hello,
You're one month in on you "after-cat" (just made that one up). How is it going?

Always good to hear a report about a new/unfamiliar company (DEC-shipped from California). Kira

On my old 2001 V70 XC I used an Eastern direct fit and for over 30k until it was sold I had no issues. The unit bolted up without any problems and if I recall it was under $200. Prior to the switch I did replace all the O2 sensors.
