I have read of bearings lasting less than 15,000 miles. I still have a few original ones on my wagon at 335,000+. Even though they are not wooping, I think the others are wore out. Replaced my first OEM one at about 225,000 with a FAG.

I can feel one humming when I overload the car. Probably not a bad idea to replace all of them at 250,000 or 15 years.

My daughter drove this car for 6 years. She is dyslexic and her depth perception is really bad. She was constantly driving the car up over curbs at 10-15 mph and sometimes more. I'm replacing the bearings because she beat the crap out of them and I have vibrations, droning and pulsing I can't explain otherwise. The FAG bearing for $55 each sealed the deal for me even though I'm not positive the bearings are the source of my problem.

You should see the condition of the air dam in the front. I've repaired it extensively with galvanized steel straps over the years. I don't know how many times she called me crying that she had crashed the car by running over the curb and parts were laying in the street. I just told her to throw them all in the back and I'll fix them tomorrow. Someday I'll post pictures.
