Ah, the Japanese myth of quality. That may have been the case many years ago, but anyone heard of Toyota, Mitsubishi and others that hide the quality issues? Airbags anyone?

Many years ago I used to deal with Japanese companies in the electronic manufacturing industry, and they regularly hid issues or lied to us on quality issues. Fortunately there were similar products made at the same companies in other countries and they were often better made!

Yes they use a horrible spray salt/de-icer on the roads here that is so bad, even driveway installers no longer guarantee the concrete as the stuff eats into it!
