Hi Guys,
Yes, had same problem as so many will get now we are 2018.
I have Win7pro with IE11 in which I had to run "run as administrator" to work Vida untill 2018.
After reading a lot of solutions to the problem couldn't find my way through them and came across this download for 2014A but it did work and all seems to be fine as before.
Ssssooo many thanks as I do use Vida for work and lost with out it.

To check the subscription. Go to the Start tab, click Perform Computer Settings. Top line on page.
Yep, The image below is Vida 2014D in Google Chrome
The Machine has Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Athlon X2 64, 3GB Ram, IE11, .Net framework 3.5 and 4.7.
No conflicts.

I have been struggling to get VIDA 2104D to accept admin... seemed to try to look it up, then just went back to username screen.
I bought VIDA/DICE before xmas but needed more memory to get it to load.... that didnt come until the new year! I have been having bouts of frustration as nothing seemed to change the behavior.........Then I saw this post and a light went on.
I downloaded and ran patch and VOILA..... I'm into VIDA!

Take your Vida insulation media, navigate to Install\DVD\Vida_dvdheader\
Select Compinfo, right click, choose edit.
Scroll down to the bottom and find the ram entry, it looks like this.

Win7MinValue=512
ErrorMess=Computer Memory (RAM) is below the required

If you change the number after Win7MinValue=, Vida will install and run with less Ram.
The example above is set for 512MB (0.5GB).

Hi Guys,
All worked fine first of all even on the other pc/laptops. But now starting the laptop I get the Vida (red) symbol in the taskbar but believe itf it wants to go the yellow colour to load the program I get Vida data base not assessable in a box. If cloicking ok or cancel the access is gone as symbol.
Reloaded the patch from forum again and goes to yellow straightaway so back on but not sure if there tomorrow!!
Also got sql message in the program file?
Any idea's?

It needs to go green.

Clearly it is having trouble connecting with the SQL server or the database is corrupted. Not all Vida distros are the same, even within the same version. So it is hard to say for sure what the root cause is.

On the laptop, are you accessing the Vida server with IE11 in a Windows 7 environment?

You might try moving Vida over to Google Chrome. See the link five messages back. IE11 and Vida don't play well together in a Windows 7 environment. The Chrome conversion does play well with Vida in a Windows 7 environment.

Loaded Mike's patch for 2012B and it is now back up and running again, so great to have 2012B and 2014A back up and running thanks to our 2 stars on MVS Mike (precopster) in Melbourne for 2012B patch and Rick Hale Parker for 2014A.

If a luddite like me can get this to work again with their help there is hope for all of us out there!

The downloads passed 1000. Nobody has reported the patch not working for them, however none of the 1000 clicked the thumbs up. It must be a tankless task
