Yeah, so it should hold pretty high positive pressure, and then just a little bit of negative will make it release when the manifold pulls vacuum instead...
It could still be your problem, I guess, but you’d have to find a way to put positive pressure in there instead, to test it.

I may give that a try. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the problem.
