I don't remember what the default is in those files but that's right, you want everything set to zero in "Diagnostic disables" except for "diagnostics replacement value: intake air temperature" set that one to 20 or so.

Then values for whites and AC mod and you are good to go.

Don't forget the other bank. IIRC, there are 3 in one bank, and 2 in the other.

Hi again,

I'm preparing a simple bench flashing setup. There are 4 ground pins on the "A" socket (A13, A18, A28, A42). Do all 4 of these have to be connected to the (-) terminal of the power supply, or just one of them? The M4.4 Wiki says either of one of them will work - just wanted to confirm if this is correct because the 3 power pins (A12, A26, A27) all have to be connected to the (+) of the power supply according to the Wiki.

Thanks!

For the grounds you have it right it is any one of them. Just pick one, they are all the same ground.

Thanks Erik for the quick response.

Can the B8 wire (bootlloader pin) be joined/spliced with the 3 other power pins? The Wiki is not clear to me as it says 14V to the 3 power pin and 13.5V to B8 - not sure if the means separate connections to the (+) of the power supply, or can be the same connection. Does the difference in voltage matter?

I use a single 14V power-supply for my bench flashing. I connect the B8 to the save power source as the power pins.

You want 13.5V + on the bootloader pin to enable flashing.

Thanks Chuck.

I found the standalone programs for the AC mod and the MAF resizing. Is there a standalone program that updates injector-related values based on type i.e. orange, white/blue, green, 750cc, etc. rather than entering them manually?

Not that I know of. Just went through it all recently on my T5.

I actually don't use the program to do the software mod. I just manually change the bytes in the appropriate places while I'm messing in TunerPro.
-Change both bytes at address $6AC8 and $6AC9 in the manual bin or address $6B42 and $6B43 in the automatic bin into #00

Just wanted to give an update on this... finally flashed an M4.4 ECU and ran it. Initially got DTC for the baro sensor, so I disabled it and re-flashed. I have one remaining DTC and it is P1308 - A/C Clutch circuit fault. My A/C system is currently empty (no refrigerant) but the compressor is still on the car and plugged-in keeping the electrical circuit intact. I never turn on the AC (even with the M4.4 AC mod applied).

Is lack of refrigerant causing the DTC? I read the accelerometer can also cause this DTC. If so, how does one address this?

Thanks again!
