I will soon be moving to the Cleveland, OH area to be near my grandkids.

Everything's rusty out there.

I also don't see many old Volvos on the local Cleveland Craigslist.

And FCP parts won't be a day and a half away via the cheap free shipping anymore.

You will like CLE, great people and town. Rust will suck. Consider a winter beater P80 to keep the nice car non rusty. Insurance is a lot cheaper, so your fixed costs fall.

I wish they still had the Indycar race at the old airport in Cleveland. Used to love seeing drivers use an infinite variety of lines through the corners since it was 100% concrete and flat with no walls to hit. Maybe Roger Penske will bring that back, assuming the lakefront airport hasn't been redeveloped. I was born in Orange County, NY but grew up in New Jersey. I'm still a loyal booster of NJ, but when I moved to Wisconsin I was amazed at how "nice" everyone seemed to be. Good manners and smiles. That was in the later 70's. I'm hoping that Ohioans are a little bit like that despite the homogenization out our society - everybody everywhere becoming the same. Good manners and easy friendliness not so prevalent outside of Philadelphia where I live.
