Ok, so I got the oil dip stick and the manifold bolts out!
They are 12mm, u know this already.
I just felt under the manifold, (it's tough to get your hands under there...) And you have to think upside down ...opposite righty tightly.
It takes a big effort to "break" the bolts off, then the soon right out.
----two 12mm bolts out, and the manifold came out! Whew! Three days in.....
Then.....the intake tube that is accordion like, to the turbo, the hose clamp.....is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy down there.....
How I got it?
7mm. On a long long extension, with a universal joint, with tape on it ...to keep it steady. Then, took my other hand to guide the socket onto the hose clamp 7mm nut.
Tada! That hose came out...thank goodness
And I placed a rubber hose on the block, blew thru that thing, and there was bubbling. So yes! All clear.
There is another piece(the one from the back of the flametrap pcv box) that goes in the block, that has a funny mod with tww clamps one on top of another. I will take a pic and post it.
Now for the turbo thingy, PCT I think....how do I clean that?
First problem.....
I can't get it off the accordion hose....help?
How do I clean that or soak that?
Then....it's time to put it allll back together!
I do have the big 5/8 inch heater hose mod ready to go in!
WANT to make sure the PCT valve junction is clean and ready to go. Any thoughts?

My God Man ! Vacuum that whole area out, particularly those intake ports, asap. I have found it good practice to blow, wash, or vacuum what ever area I'm going to be work in before I start. The last thing you want is any of that sort of crap getting into your cylinders.

Ok I have some compressed air for computers.....that's about all I got right now.
Good looking out!
How do I test this turbo valve and make sure it's good to reinstall. And do I soak it in brake breaker or carb cleaner overnight to clean it out, if it needs cleaning?
Thanks! I am looking to put this back togetherrrrr and drive around ,. Flossing the big wagon in the hood!

At this point don't bring compressed air into the picture. You could just end up blowing the stuff inside the head. Break out the vacuum, even if it's just your household one, and suck that stuff out.

Re the PCT - I think I had the whole thing out of the car when I cleaned mine. They say you can pull it apart but it looked like it would break to me.
As I remember it's just a little port - not really a valve. I sprayed it all out with throttle body/carb cleaner.

and then stick something in those intake ports so nothing gets in there.
Plastic grocery bags work great for that.
Just remember to remove them before putting on the intake.

If you don't have a vacuum of any type, then get as much as you can out with rag wet with WD40 or similar.
I did PCV replacement this summer. Some of the job is a real pain.
