Tips on removing the head on a -99 v70 2.5t

Here’s a good 10 minute video with no chaff on hub removal

One addition

Before you remove the timing belt, use a 30mm impact to loosen and lube the crank pulley nut. You need to remove the harmonic balancer and pulley to get the timing belt on with The later RN blocks, 1999- on

You will find people who say it can be done with the pulley in place, which is true, but trust me on this, remove them

You might need 30mseconds of propane heat on the crank pulley nut to help it zip off.

What video are you reffering too? Did you Link it? I have a pneumatic impact Gun but it is quite weak so im unsure if i am able to get it off, but ill try. But the reason for taking it off is to put the new timing belt on easier?

Thank you! I just ordered some ratcheting wrenches to get off the exhaust manifold, which is a real paint, i'll get on with the timing after that!
