LOL, I just thought PBR and PB Blaster made a good pairing. I’m not picky with beer anymore, gone are the days that I pay $3 a can for the fancy stuff.

Forgot to mention earlier I also drove a tek screw into the heat shield above the muffler because it was hanging and causing a nasty rattle. I like when fixes are simple (and cheap) which seems rare these days.

Sorry I haven't been very active lately, but it's been challenging finding time with my new job and all. Being out of the country for 3 weeks didn't help.
Before I went away I bought an 06' V70, base, auto, from a fellow forum member, Glenn. This car is replacing my 05' V70 5-speed manual. Glenn did a fantastic job keeping all the maintenance up to date. All I really had to do was change the oil.
Today I did a deep cleaning of the interior and started fixing a few little paint imperfections. I also installed the retracting cargo gate and fog lights. I also ordered a Weathertech cargo liner. Also, I swapped over the Canistos with almost new Conti tires and I think I will keep them on the car.
Next is polishing the headlights and installing the Laminex film I already have.

Nice looking car!

When I did our son's XC70 headlights I removed the bumper and lights to get access to the edges.

Not really, they had used some clear coat of some sort on them at some point which was a swine to remove. only way to get neat the edges on the XC was to remove them. I took the opportunity to swap all the minor bulbs out at the same time as the 2 that were out could not be removed otherwise. It was when I discovered the RH outer marker light is the only one that rotates counterclockwise to remove!!

Control Arms, ball joints, outer tie rods, suspension stabilizer bar links, all brakes/pads/rotors + brake flush. Only hiccup was somehow got LF reluctor ring dirty and it threw ABS code. Also started out with wrong size front rotors (305mm too big). Lots of groveling under the car, super fun. When will I get too old to put up with the hassle? Im cheap so probably never :)

or run it on front jackstands and listen with a stethoscope. Haldex fuse is pulled.
Is your noise sort of harmonic depending on vehicle speed, with intermittent vibration? I rode in the passenger seat today (is there anything more emasculating than being driven around by your wife? ) and it honestly sounds like the wheel bearing on the passenger side has gone too. Noise increases when braking or putting load on the right side. What a bugger!!!
