Well got the last bits in....
Exhasut gasket and three bolts
Turbo oil drain line - two small 5 mm internal hex bolts - put the aft one in first, then jog the hard pipe around to start the second using a flexible extension as a screwdriver to work around the pipe, Dont cross thread these puppies
Installed snorkel and the three connections
Installed induction from turbo to bottom of intercooler.
Installed upper rear engine mount , ground strap, route and connect all vacuum and turbo hoses.
Installed water reservoir 27mm oetiker on bottom hose
ADded water - gush gush gush - forgot to connect heater hoses, lost a yellow clip, found in spares box
Cranked for 10 second intervals to get oil pressure light off. Took 2 minutes of cranking in 10 crank/20 rest intervals
Had main engine relay removed to prevent start.
Installed relay
Crank , no fire condition
Fuel at rail
Do not hear ETM whine- click...???
Inspect - forgot to plug in ETM - recified.
Still crank,no fire.
Darkness falls....

Hopefully the darkness is just the day! You have got this a long way. Now you need to go around it like you say and check for any more possible fails in re-connecting stuff. Then check for the usual suspects in terms of fuel and spark.

With all the big chunks reconnected, it just turns into a routine troubleshooting exercise - best tackled early in the day. We will all chant our most peaceful mantra first thing in the morning, just in case stuff like that might actually help.
