Wow - good work!

All I did was move him out of his nice dry garage so that Bart Jr could get his old car in a garage to change oil before a trip. He announced, in a snow storm, that he was going to change his oil out in the alley, in the dark, in the slop....he assumed the red car couldn't move...HA! I said NOPE, I'll pull him out.

Now he's out on the street again, oh well. I was only halfway through my polish job when it got very cold.

I've been partaking in some winter prep over the past few evenings. I use the term winter loosely, given I'm in the UK. Anyway, I started by swapping the misaligned and faulty n/s heated mirror for a straight and working one.

Next, I fixed the n/s vanity mirror lighting. The wires had been cut when swapping headlining, and I used some solder sleeves to reconnect them.

I followed that up by fixing the broken thermostat wiring to n/s heated seat, which was accomplished by depinning the connector and crimping a new pin. I'll need to do the same for the o/s seat soon as over the past few uses its started to get rather hot indeed.

Lastly, a full wash, decon, and wax application.

Looks like it's shining up nice! That red looks awesome when it's polished up.

Fuel pump died on my way home from work in the 98 V70. Took an hour to wait for the tow home, an hour break for dinner, then another hour to diagnose and swap in a fuel pump I had in the garage. Ready to roll for tomorrow morning.

The one that failed was clearly aftermarket, so that means the PO put it on sometime before I got the car, that was 70k miles ago (bought it at 213k, now sits at 283k).

Nice, check those front wheel bearings while you drain the tank, too.
