Bought replacement trans for 850 but it's DIFFERENT??HELP!!

:D Help,I was told that only the 1993 volvo 850 trans would work in the car.Will any other trans work in this car?Help

93's were /are a very different car from 94 on

I have just completed this repair also.. Thanks for the help!

I got a trans that turned out to be a 96. It did not have the sensor on the output either.
