The issue is more one of all the other tubing (EVAP system??) that's sitting in the way as far as pulling it up and out.
I figured the hose fittings were spring loaded sort of like on the fuel filters of other cars I've worked on.
I'll just try to take it easy and not break anything. For now, the car 'runs'
I hosed out the IAC with contact cleaner as well as the MAF. I also cleaned the throttlebody. The car is running a bit smoother just due to those two things. I cannot believe how much crap is pulled into the throttlebody via the PCV system. It still cuts out.
However, I got to thinking that the fuel pump is probably not totally to blame. The car only cuts out when you put down the pedal to accellerate. After a bit of time, the car regains power. It has power at high RPM.
I'm still stuck on the MAF/ O2 sensor / TPS sending bad data to the computer, but I don't know... I pulled the A2 engine codes and after a year of not resetting it, I got a 1 - 1 - 1 (sadly!)
I really need an oil catch can inline with my PCV system. When I did the PCV replacement last year, my throttlebody was clean and dry!
Now look at it:

The butterfly was completely coated in crap and my MAF had backmist of oil on it

Sadly, I still have enough blowby that I get steam out of the dipstick. This is why I think it can't hurt to seafoam the car and see if things clean out any better.
