Steve, I may be headed to Harry's soon. Driver or passenger? Power or manual? Harry's charges about $30/seat for power. Easier to grab the whole seat and do a straight swap. You get down by my way fairly often, no?

I have a 1999 with power and SIPS, but I'm happy doing a skin from a 1998 or earlier. It's only my bottom skin that's bad....too personal. :-)

I did a full interior/seat clean a few days ago, then washed the outside, sprayed down some DG AquaWax and dried. The sled is much nicer & cleaner now, inside & out. I do really like the Lexol (orange) leather cleaner and horsehair scrub brush with hot water. I can fell the leather loosen up when it's wet. I then treated with a leather conditioner cream made by Apple (not computer). Smells nice and needs to be buffed with a towel after it dries.

I don't think so. I used quick reply. Typed my update, clicked SUBMIT, then recaptcha, then blank box!

Royally frustrating......

I've had this happen: typing a reply. Entire computer shuts down because battery died. Boot back up, words appeared where they were.

This is in Chrome browser.

Back in the 1990s I used mink oil on my leather seats and it kept them looking great and water resistant and feeling soft. I noticed on the 2002 S80 and the 2004 S80 leather the mink oil did not absorb in so I switched to armor all and my 2004 S80 seats are soft and look great and this Christmas the car turns 14 years old. I don't use any product but a damp cloth (water) on the rest of the interior.

The Buick dealer sold Lexol and my 1986 Buick Park Avenue leather turned hard and I bought it new and traded it in on the 1989 Volvo 740 GLT. So Lexol destroyed the gorgeous glove soft Buick lether in my opinion in three years time. My father also had Buick Park Avenue cars at the same time and with no leather treatment like Lexol the leather stayed soft and I found out my mom used mink oil on her Volvos and dad's Buicks.

Until I read this thread I had no idea modern car seat leather had a plastic coating. That makes sense that the mink oil won't absorb and Armor All seems to work well. June

Sometimes the text comes back up, other times it doesn't. It's strange.
For future reference, if the recaptcha comes up, just go back and hit submit again. It always works for me.
It's also a good idea to copy the text every now and again in a long post!
