Sold my perfect original steering wheel for $50, so 50 smackers for a brand new wood and leather wheel (installed last night and looks great)!
The V70R bumper, lower grills and NEW fog lights should all be on by this weekend.

I also bought perfect set of Volans and will buy new Conti DWS06 tires 215/45/17s.

All that will be left is to repair the door panels and I will have literally a brand new 2000 GLT SE that looks and drives as new
It will look great with the Volan's, no doubt. I'm surprised you chose them though, given the fact that they are somewhat fragile.

Yeah, I wouldn't think of Volans with a GLT. The Volan is the R wheel, right? Meant to be sporty and responsive. And flashy. The GLT is meant to be cushy and unremarkable in appearance.

I've had no inclination to replace the Cetus rims on my 97 850 GLT.

I'd love some Comets for my GLT. But I also plan on beefing up performance a little. I like to keep things nice and even.

I don't really like Comets. As for the stupid GLT comment, now it will look exactly like an S70R (which came with 16" meteors that are a 16" version of Comets). Volans are a really good looking wheel. The seller ( of the wheels) actually had them on the exact same car and color and looked terrific!

Did you ever ride in or drive a tuned GLT? A serious stump puller, great on the street, will KILL a T5 up to 60 or so and if you really wanted even more HP, a bigger turbo and injectors (with a proper tune) will Annihilate a T5, (and many other current cars)... so I beg to ask, what's your point?

My cousin has a T5... I agree!
I like that there is so much potential with the GLT. I plan to use that to my advantage. My cousin doesn't seem to think that with a little work I could beat him in a race. I also plan to prove him wrong.

One to rival Jim's wonderful find? Ex-US and still has US speedo cluster. Also remember that 75c US$ to CDN$ advantage!

Poor equipment...no heated seats,no wood trim on the dash,no rear spoiler,15" rims,no trip computer,no headlight wipers,no fog lights.

It was easier to mention what "equipment" it have...if what this car have can be called "equipment" at all.

Fair point misha for those that live in Serbia. But if you live in the mid to southern US why do you need headlight washers (a pain that break and a pain to replace!) when you get little rain. I just fixed them for my brother on a 850 that went to him and he said why bother for the 10 days rain they get a year? Fog-lights maybe in San Francisco occasionally, why do you need them? All I seem to do with them is replace broken glass covers and never use them. Personally, also not a fan of wood interiors. Heated seats? What are the chances they still work after 20 years even in a low mileage 850 unless they are changed to the newer type? Trunk spoiler on a LPT, is of no value and makes the trunk a pain to polish and wears out the trunk lifts much quicker.

So that leaves the wheel diameter which is cheap and easy to fix. The only thing I would have liked is the trip computer. Again retrofitable as a friend has just done and parts easily found in junk yards.

All things are different to different people. My only concern would be a vehicle that has not been used enough and ends up having loads of rubber failing type issues, just as I found with the 850 SE NA I just repaired and sent to my brother in California. Car had less then 100,000km but needed a huge amount of work due to deterioration of parts and a stage 0 required. It's always good to know we have different views as it keeps life interesting!
