Re: V70 automatic transmission
Check the LH (shortest) axle shaft. It can't just be inserted into the transmission. It has to be SEATED. There's a locking retainer clip that needs to be in a certain depth in the transmission. If not, the car just won't move at all. Don't just try to hammer the axle in from the wheel locking bolt. You have to actually push the large black "box" on the axle to butt up against the transmission. I just had this issue. I removed the wheel and was able to push on the black box towards the transmission. I felt it move about 1/8-1/4" and that was all it took. Hope yours is as simple a fix.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest changing the fluid -- and if you have AWD, check & change the gear oil on the angle gear.Gouws wrote: ↑05 Apr 2019, 16:32 So im also having the same problem....but i wread that if you here a grinding noise....that noise is from only one place and got under my car as it was making this grinding noise....thats def from torkconverter..but the slipping i which somebody can help us with that ...i could hear its from the inside.......but where the balhouzing bolts to the engin
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.
