Good job!

May I suggest using Car Part.com for finding a used engine? I see quite a few engines pop up at salvage yards in the area. May be worth making a few phone calls:

The cheap option is Harry's in Pa., but as the name confirms it is Harry's-U-Pull-It, so you've got to harvest. My mechanic says if you put a wrench on the crank pulley and can turn it, the engine is usually good. Engine acquired that way is c. $200 in out of pocket cash but obviously has other coast as far as time/hassle are concerned and comes with no guarantee.

Not only did we rescue this one I watched my daughter drive to work this morning in it 6 years and 30,000 miles later

Most of her coworkers have $400 a month car payments, while Evita just keeps on rolling on a tank of gas a month.
