Door Handle Does Nothing

Not 100% what is wrong with yours but this was what was wrong with mine. I cut into the plastic surround to give better access and then used rebar wire (only thing I had on hand, maybe zip ties would've been better thinking about it lol) to secure the pieces together.

Yes my car is falling apart. I don't care. Lol. I'm at the point where I've stopped buying most parts and just use a bigger hammer to "fix" things. 24 years old...

Once the panel is put back on the door you can't tell. The door operates normally. How you'd actually replace those parts I'm not sure, it's super tight.

Hi,

Yeah mine has a cable not levers/rods, but thanks.

At this point i am just wondering what the original actually looked like.
I wanted to try to ascertain if it was a poor design (or cheapie design) to begin with.
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.
1998 v70, non turbo, FWD, base model, on the road from April 2nd, 2015 to July 26, 2023.
