I'm trying to find a way to safely remove the positive cable and install the replacement cable . I've started a cut out on the fuse box .

Maybe cut off the lug, then pull new cable using old as messenger line??

Would it be safe to clip the old wire and connector off ? Or just install new cable on top of old connector and cover and secure the battery end of old wire ?

Find the battery end of the old wire and remove it. I think that is the one wire on the battery post but that needs to be put right

After installing the fuse box positive cable , I still get the same no start after warm. I'll have to let it sit so I can move it out the driveway .Think its about time to move on to something less finicky !

Have you tried ethering it when you get the hot no start?

There is no way we are letting you quit now, remember you are in TX and NYrs are watching!

I see that you won't let me give up ! Can't let NYC laugh at me ! Thaanks ! Gave it a starter shot, and it ran a few more seconds before stalling . What should I look at ?

So ignition us good. Fuel is not. If you hAve solid 12Voltson each injector, your ECU isn't. Firing the injectors.

Could be, but final step is to check continuity of wiring between injectors and ECU.

Also, could you measure resistance at the ECT when hot? It could be flaky even if new. Resistance will tell you

You can also pull the fuel rail and see if its squirting fuel when hot ...be careful!

I think Brendan kept the 1998 ECU our joint parts car, but maybe you can arrange a trial?
