Ok, so replaced throttle body with junkyard unit. The one that came off the car had part # ending in "53" so FCP's contention I need a "54" appears to be incorrect.

After replacing throttle body idle still lumpy. Sought to do a "TB adaptation" but I must have VIDA Lite because nowhere did I see that as an option.

And, codes getting very much worse. New ones today:

CEM 1A61 Communication with TCM control module signal missing

ECM 510F vehicle speed signal - signal missing

ECM 530B malfunction indicator lamp communication

ECM 91B7 throttle valve -faulty signal

Any ideas?

Just to recap:. New Bosch coils (5) less than 5,000 miles ago. New Volvo turbo plugs, same vintage. New MAF this past Friday (Bosch). Junkyard throttle body (cleaned to spotless) today.

Battery voltage could be a little low since only getting used for short runs.

Interesting: frozen values from initial readout:. "Ambient temperature -107.5 °C." Frozen values, I'll say.

Could this be a reprise of Sergio's epic failing starter and compromised flex plate thread? Haven't detected any loud booms so far.

The plot thickens. Just put a multimeter on the battery in the car, while connected to the car. Resting voltage reads 12.26 V.

Which, as I understand it, is an expired battery.

Next stop, battery charger.

Low at 70 degrees F or more

Well, I guess it's really about 55% charge, but lower than I like to see. Five year old Interstate "Megatron" 60 month battery. Not sure of the rated amp hours or CCA.

You caught the Covid “ I can make this battery last “ bug from some one you met with recently

( my 2013 T5 battery is cranking low , too.)

Ordered a CTek MX5 smart charger and tester. We'll see if the smart charger can help the dumb owner.

Your fault codes seem to be all over the map. Have you tried re-seating the ECM yet?

Just remembered. The 2004 has a TSB for water intrusion into the CEM. Have you had that mod done?

Researching...looks like it’s 2005 MY issue only.
