the only way to get them really straight is to remove, but at that point its a fools errand to reinstall the straightened arms.

FCP has a Lemforder for $175, hand-crafted by artisans in Italy (!), a cheap ProPartsSweden (not from Sweden), a Vaico from Taiwan for about $65, and OE blue box for......$450..(oh, it comes with the motor).
Here's the Dorman for my car for $77...

Let us know if those long drivers do the job in reaching that bottom thermostat housing bolt? I couldn't loosen that last time I tried so I just exchanged the thermostat alone. Still got the housing, gasket, and new bolts ready to install.
If they do work attach a link to them.

I have had the most trouble replacing window regulators when I had to swap motors. It seems the motors have an internal stop that prevented it from continuing to turn until it reached the top or bottom of the window. At least it appeared that way. I had to remove the regulator, remove the motor, turn the motor to near the stop by plugging into power, and then reassemble with the regulator near the same orientation.volvolugnut wrote: ↑30 Jan 2024, 07:54 Dorman makes decent actuator arm replacements, with and without motors. Try to install the motor on the new regulator in the same position as you remove from the old regulator (frame).

Thats why I'm storing about everything in the trunk.
Plus side, I know where to search
Not so good: forgetting about the junk in the trunk and doing a brake test (today I replaced the brake hoses and pads + parking brake pads) and now it's all scrambled eggs
Just because you're trash, doesn't mean you can't do great things.
It's called garbage can, not garbage can not.
