heres another one for the files,

I had vida running on a laptop win 7 pro, then it went out of date, I changed the exp date and it seemed to work fine.
Next time I booted it up it was back to date out of range or something related to calendar, I'd reset the exp date and calendar again, it worked fine until I shut the laptop down and rebooted. It did this every time.

Turned out the little battery that maintains bios memory had died and it kept defaulting to the manufactured date.
That problem had me stumped for a long time.

I`m having issues with dirty tank on XC90 2006 especially fuel pump running high duty cycle. Local service asks 120$ for measurement using VIDA and I would like to measure Fuel Pump Duty Cycle by my self.

If I buy this device from Ali : https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805312936371.html

will I be able to download SW from internet to my PC and use it to measure Fuel Pump Duty Cycle? ( that is all I need now )

Do I have to buy license or something else?

I believe VIDA will display the fuel pump duty cycle. No license or anything needed, you can just set up the software per the instructions in this thread and run it.
The only thing you'll need a license for is software downloads and things of that sort, which you can no longer do on 2014D anyway.

I responded to your PM as well, but I'll post here as well for others' benefit.

Either one will be fine, the software that you need is linked in the thread so no need to use the included software. As for the DICE itself, these clones are hit or miss, so I would just get the cheaper one. They usually work well enough, especially for occasional use.

I had the same problem. So what do I need to do exactly in order for this to work? Do I need to uninstall everything and start over? Thank you I desperately need this to work so I can fix my 2000 V-70 which has a bad immobilizer unit and the dealer won't fix it because they cant get a new part.

Unpack patch used in previous install and find 3 files.
filldb.cmd
filldb.sql
license

It not as easy as you make it sound.
If I unpack to C:\ these files and patch folder get deleted by 2014A.exe and 2014A-B-D.exe after the patch is run.
If I unpack to a different folder I can get the patch folder and the three files.
I moved the patch folder to C:\Vida and ran filldb.com from the command line. Got a cannot find specific path error.

What would be nice if somebody can make a new patch with the license file edited.

Has anybody else discovered the 2014D RePack comeing out of Russia? It runs native on Windows 7, 8 and 10 with IE11.
The Repack does not have the subscriptionExpireDate fixed in the patch.

Successfully modified the 2014A patch to extend the subscriptionExpireDate to 2099 23:59:59.
The patch will not enable you run 2014D under windows 10 with IE11. For that your need more then the patch.

Get attached file.

1. Unpack 2014A-B-D-2099.zip file to Desktop.
2. Run 2014A-B-D-2099.exe
3. Install to C:\
4. Reboot and log in to Vida after the icon turns green.

I have Vida 2014D running native in Windows 10 E11 in real time in a VM.
Next ... do it on the host just like any other application.
