Any updates on this?

I have a 02 V40 with the same problem. Its been going on for a couple months .

I had a 850 with the park neutral switch issue but I don't think this is the same problem. I could always get the 850 to start by rocking the car back and forth in neutral and knocking switch into place. That doesn't work on the V40. I have tried a different set of keys and jumping it. I don't think its the starter or battery.

Any help would be great, Its getting cold outside.

i stopped for gas at gas station and after i fill up the tank the car was not starting anymore so i towed it at home and now i still have not find the problem even i consulted a mechanic???
