Hi again guys ( all you with the great advice )

Minor but curious issue popped up on the rebuild.

Drove car around my area, just pedestrian, feels great no funny noises, no codes. Drove around about 20 minutes all really nice.

1/4 mi from house decided to hoof it for a few seconds, got back to my gate with smoke under hood ( oil ) Darn !

Lifted front end last weekend found a little oil on drive axle and some had gotten on the CAT. I checked the oil drain pipe from the turbo to oil pan boss, all VERY tight.

To mention I DID have to remove this drain pipe after reassembly because the pipe end was NOT located in the oil pan " boss ". I did put new o - ring and gaskets and wrestled with the thing for about 4 hours ( I did NOT take off the angle gear, so you know this was a real pain )

Anyway, no trace of oil at turbo, nor could I find any running down pipe. I started and ran car on stands and revved her up pretty good and no oil leak............

I'm pretty sure this drain pipe is just under gravity from turbo, it's not pressurized.

So my guess is perhaps when I gassed it hard the oil in the pan sloshed back and some came out past drain pipe seal ?

I do note that the drain pipe ( end ) fits into the casting above the oil pan only a short distance so although there is a slight flare, it seems the o ring is really doing all the work, but since the drain is not under any pressure it doesn't need a threaded coupling or whatever.

At this point I'm just thinking as long as I just drive the car around without getting too frisky, it's fine.

Recommendations ?

I have a 05 s60r 6mt if someone didn't route the pcv hoses or vacuum hoses to the intake right could it possibly suck oil?
