Our 2002 XC70 has that sensor in the middle. Interestingly the 2001 and 2002 model 2.4Ts and XCs don't share the pre-cat O2 sensor or the MAF because they run different throttles and slightly different engine management.

When I replaced my throttle body on my 2006 S60 last weekend, I could not remove the intercooler to ETM pipe, as the clamp bolt access was blocked by a sheet of metal at the intercooler end. I just don't seem to have any crescent wrenches in my toolkit (which would have worked).
But I moved the other end of the pipe out and away from the ETM and while there was one small hose nipple on the pipe, there were no sensors on the pipe at all. I just have the MAP/boost sensor that is mounted on the intercooler near this pipe (part 18 in the diagram).
The parts diagrams do not appear to be accurate for the different years for this part.
