DELPHI GN10558 ignition coils were installed, so far no issues.

XHEART,
My friend LR2 Mike changed his coils in his 3.2 yesterday.
He went with original Land Rover parts.
He was getting some rough running at idle (i.e. misfire) but no codes.
He is well above 200,000 miles.
Note: Delphi is a good choice for ignition coils.
I do have a replacement coil that is in a Volvo box (just one coil).
Now I need to figure out how to determine when my coils are worn out. My plan had been to rely on the check engine light but that plan wouldn't have helped LR2 Mike.
I almost forgot LR2 Mike texted me that his LR2 misfire at idle is gone and the engine is running much better.
Thanks
Paul

Delphi Technologies is UK based. It was acquired by BORG WARNER, Michigan USA. Delphi makes Direct Ignition Coils for FoMoCo/DENSO for Volvo application.

XHEART,
I just checked the BORG Warner web sit and it says
I am at
13 years and 127,000 miles LR2
11 years and 141,000 miles S80
So I am getting close but not there yet.
Here is the link
https://www.borgwarner.com/technologies ... chnologies
Also I looked at the Delphi coils on RockAuto and they say FOMOCO
I am going to get these as well
Thanks for the tip
Paul

The Delphi Direct Ignition Coil's boot part that slides over the ceramic portion of spark plug is pre-greased with white substance. The ID is narrower than OE, and a snug fit.

It just came to me what I was thinking of… AC Delco.
Thanks for the clarification.

Xheart and Matt,
Here are the picture from the new coil that I bought
30684245 Volvo (Made in Japan)
6g9n-12a366 FOMOCO
099700-1070 DENSO (Made in Japan)
Do the Delphi coils have the same FOMOCO number? (I can see the FOMOCO in the picture at RockAuto but I can't see the number)
Thanks
Paul
PS I cover the top of the sparkplug with dielectric grease before I install the coil pack. I can describe what I do if you really want to know.

The DELPHI GN10558 direct ignition coil set I received from Rock Auto does not have either FoMoCo or DENSO engraved. The box sticker says, Made in China in 10 languages.
I had similar concerns – make, model, brand. I chose to work with the explicit 3-Year Warranty stated on Rock Auto order. After your Borg Warner product info, it assures A Bird in the Hand is Worth Two in the Bush.

XHEART,
The picture from ROCKAUTO does show FOMOCO
It seems a bit deceptive that the parts you received aren't marked the same way.
Searching for the Original part the best price I found is
LR002954 $80
30684245 $57
I am leaning toward buying the original Volvo coils for $57.
https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/vo ... dhcw%3D%3D
Any comment on TASCA parts
I've bought from them in the past and they seem legitimate.
Thanks
Paul
PS the coil that I pictured above was bought from TASCA (I just checked my receipt)
