Or take the whole subframe with engine.
Already ask about the torch. No torches (fire) in public part of the yard. They do the prepwork with fire based tools in a non-public part of the yard. They would need to move 12 cars to get to the one with the engine. It is not going to happen. They did say it would be different if the truck was on the end of the row or located where the could get to it from the front or back. The forklifts they have are massive enough to lift the cars but they do not waste enough space between the rows to get the forklifts between the rows.

Today I got a 40" Klutch 3/4" drive breaker and a Klutch 3/4" drive 18mm impact socket from Northern Tool. If it breaks loose or literally breaks the bolts, problem solved.

The bolts circled in red are the ones I am trying to get out.

Dremel has some good high speed cutoff wheels that will do that trick too, if allowed inside.

Battery power is allowed. I thought about my cordless reciprocating saw but I doubt my battery is up to it and I am out of metal blades. It is crunch time, leaving for OKC at 6:00 am tomorrow. Either the 40" breaker and 18mm impact socket does it or it is times up.

It all comes together. On the 4.4L the cats are at the ends of the manifolds, not downstream under the car. They probably did not waste time separating the cats from the manifold and returning the manifolds to the car. But I'm going to look in the back tomorrow.

Right, this is similar to how BMW does it. One yard just cuts the manifolds right at the collector before the cats, and the other yard leaves them on the car, just won't sell them. The guy had me bring them up to the office when I pulled them off an engine we pulled since he said people try to steal them.
How people get out of the yard with two large exhaust manifolds with cats, I have no idea.

At one yard they will not sell you tires. If the tires are mounted on wheels, They sell you the wheels and you walk out with wheels and tires.

If somebody comes back with a complaint about tires, they look at you like your nuts and ask for a tire receipt as proof you bought them there, which you did not.

Just say they identify as pets. They won't hound you...

At the main yard I go to, they will sell tires, but if you buy wheels with tires, they have two categories. Either 1- wheel with tire, or 2- wheel with tire carcass not fit for road use. And even on tires that they consider good, there's only like a 3 day warranty or something like that as opposed to their standard 30 day.

I'm committed now.

The B8444S V8 and TF-80SC six speed are home. Got three of the subframe bolts out with the 40" breaker bar. The fourth one rounded off. Started cutting it with a cordless reciprocating saw. Ran out of juice before I got it cut off. Inserted chisel smacked it with a BFH, the bolt fractured the rest of the way.

Next on list get them out of the back of the F150. Many said a I could do it with a cherry picker. Did the math ... no why at ~3/4 ton weight and a 60" reach to get it out the back. Going to hire a tow truck with a boom to pick it out of the F150 bed.

Second on list exhaust manifolds and cats. If anybody has these or can get used ones them I could use a hand.

Will also be needing a ECM and air box. I got one as part of the engine package. Set it down when next to the 8' wide gantry when loading the it all in the F150. Got so focused on not scratching the F150 I forgot to pickup the Air box and ECM and put them in the bed of the F150. Not going to make another 400 mile run to get it. Besides most likely the yard picked it up and put it out of mind.

I got a few words for the bean counter that decided on a 8' wide gantry rather then a 10' wide gantry.

The yard was busy. All the stay at homes alleviating their boredom and no excuses to procrastinate on repairs.

I'll keep an eye out for all those parts locally. Every now and again I come across B8444S part outs.

This will be a cool project! I'm really excited to see how it goes!
