If you can use a mirror and get the part number on it which is on the lower face of it, I believe Matty still does an exchange where he sends you a repaired unit so you can fit ti and then you return your unit as a core once the new one is up and running.

Replacing the unit will not fix the broken on missing bulbs on the dash though.

Hello Neil,

Oh that's too bad, i thought fixing the ABS thing was going to fix the burnt out bulb in the garage too (hee hee).

Ok same problem came up. I went to the store about 1 mile from here, speedometer worked fine. When i came out, on the way back, it's dead again. I guess i have to find something better than cardboard.
But it's strange that it would work on the way to the store then on the way back it doesn't work. Doesn't make sense.
So something better than cardboard to try i guess, for now.

One good thing still though, at least i know what the problem is, and that's 90 percent of the repair i think.
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

Hi Neil,

I meant to ask you, how hard do you have to jam something in there to get it to work?
When i put the cardboard, it was hard to get into the very narrow space between the ABS unit and that black box thing on the side/front.

I don't want to press too hard, but i want it in there tight enough.
I have some skewer sticks i think will be great for this, they have one pointed end and are about 1/8 inch in diameter.

Hi Steve,

I am going to try some skewer sticks (ha ha). I got two yesterday with a chicken shish kabob. They look about the right diameter for this job.
